Neal's Yard Dairy

I've practically forgotten I have a blog it seems, although I keep taking photographs.

We never miss an opportunity to stop at Neal's Yard Dairy when we're at the Borough Market. And really, how can you not go into a place with huge cheese wheels like these outside. I actually framed this photograph so that you could see the man sitting across the road reflected in the glass. I love reflections. And cheese.

The employees were very kind to let me take photographs but they also seemed a bit shy, so I tried to be as quick and non-intrusive with my camera as possible.
Neal's Yard Dairy
It's a great place to take photographs actually, I could have spent hours in there but of course there wasn't time, and they'd probably have gotten sick of me very quickly.

I could try all these cheeses easily, I'd just need a bit of time and a good bottle of wine would be welcome as well.
Neal's Yard Dairy
Anyone else like Neal's Yard Dairy? I especially love the clotted cream butter they sell, although they don't actually make it.

oh that really is a photogenic shop ! love your selection of photos here, especially that first image with the reflection. i loooove reflections too. fantastic eye you have there.

i've got *my* eye on those huge mama blocks of membrillo. yum to that. what's the darker bordeaux triangle next to it ? oh, and is that a rack of stickers the fromager is playing with in the back ? um, i'd like that in my office. and some membrillo.

What good memories this brings back !
My first London visit, Covent Garden, Neals Yard.
I need to hurry back, it has been too long .. and yes, you have been gone too long ( from the blog) too :)

Good memories indeed... Mesmerized and secretly devising plans to let them lock me in for the night (I'd have brought wine and a book).
Also, the water spout in the middle of the shop?

Very neat photographs. I like the reflections too.

I knew there were a lot of different types of cheese, but this place is amazing!

Thanks everyone.

Kerrin: It's quince paste and damson paste. And those are stickers indeed, lots of them. Fun huh. ;) Oh and it's around the corner from the chocolate shop.

Baking Soda: The water spout is not in the middle of the shop anymore but by the window (if you look at the picture with the shelves of cheese wheels, it's at the end over the barrel). I'd let them lock me in for the night but I don't think the baby would appreciate it. ;)

These are some lovely photos! I was just watching reruns of Rick Steves' Europe on PBS last night (nothing else to watch due to American Thanksgiving). And Rick visited Neal"s Yard Dairy in Borough Market! Lovely place!

I don't think cheese can be pornographic per se, but I did lust after some delicious cheese after reading your post.
